Welsh workers' housing – the importance of recording these houses.

Event at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Wrexham and District

Tuesday 2 August 2011 at 2pm - Pabell y Cymdeithasau 2

Spencer Smith, Royal Commission, will be delivering a talk on the importance of recording the houses of Wales’s industrial workers ‘Tai gweithwyr Cymru - pwysigrwydd cofnodi’r tai hyn’.

A warm welcome to you all.

Spencer Smith’s great-grandfather and great-grandmother on the doorstep of the house they built for themselves in Rhos, Wrexham.
How much do you know about the houses where your forefathers were born? How much have these houses changed since then?  The recording of Welsh workers’ housing has brought to light information about how Wales changed during the Industrial Revolution and also about how families would build their own homes.
