This week is Volunteers’ Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without saying a sincere ‘thank you!’ to all the people who volunteer their time to the Commission. In the last year, they’ve given 1,001 hours of time in support of our activities – that’s equivalent to 138 working days, and almost 28 working weeks!
All our volunteers make a vital contribution to our work across the organisation. They help enhance records on Coflein, our online database, and work closely with our Library staff to catalogue, label and shelve books so that they’re ready for our visitors to use. In return, we offer the opportunity to develop skills, enhance knowledge and gain valuable work experience.
